Castle Challenger Learning Center Foundation

Castle Science & Technology Center

Castle Science and Technology Center welcomes visits by both individuals and groups. See below for details.

Science & Technology Center programs begin with an informational SCAVENGER HUNT lasting about 45 minutes.  There are 3 levels of Scavenger Hunt to choose from:  Grades 1-3, 4-5, and 6-8. All questions are based on California Science and Reading standards. The remainder of the time is self guided - viewing and interacting with exhibits.  Total duration is typically one to two hours.
$105 for up to 20 Primary students and chaperones
$150 for up to 36 Intermediate students and chaperones.

The Scavenger Hunt is often combined with our popular CSI scenario:  CHEM MYSTERY.
Students become science detectives as they step inside a crime scene. Students must deduce who committed the crime by visiting the site of the dasterly deed, listening to the alibis of the various suspects,  and using forensic techniques in our crime lab.  Duration is typically one hour.
This lab can be combined with the above STC program for an additional $50.00 per group per session.
