Castle Science & Technology Center Castle Science and Technology Center welcomes visits by both individuals and groups. See below for details.
Science & Technology Center programs begin with an informational guided tour and a SCAVENGER HUNT, together lasting about 45 minutes. We offer Scavenger Hunts for each grade from kindergarten to fifth. We also have a grade 6-8 Scavenger Hunt. All questions are based on California science standards. The remainder of the time is self guided: viewing and interacting with hands-on exhibits. Total duration is typically one to two hours.
$105 for up to 25 primary students and additional chaperones $150 for up to 38 intermediate or middle school students and additional chaperones. The Scavenger Hunt is often combined with our popular CSI scenario: CHEM MYSTERY. Students become science detectives as they step inside a crime scene. Students must deduce who committed the crime by visiting the site of the dasterdly deed, listening to the alibis of the various suspects, and using forensic techniques in our crime lab. Duration is typically one hour. This lab can be combined with the above STC program for an additional $50.00 per group per session.
